Fuel Assistance Programs for 2011 - 2012

Applications are available for a limited time for the Pennsylvania Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Citizen's Energy Oil Heat Program (Joe for Oil). Both programs require income qualification.

PECO's low-income CAP Rate program continues

PECO's low-income CAP Rate program will continue to provide discounted bills for low-income customers who are enrolled in the CAP Rate program. The CAP Rate discount is now at least 25% off the first 650 kWh per month (average usage is about 750 kWh a month.)

You must give up the CAP Rate discount if you switch to a non-PECO electric supplier, so if you have the CAP rate discount, you shouldn't switch carriers.

Flu Shots for Lower Merion Residents

Adults ages 65 and older can take advantage of free flu shots that will be offered on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 1 PM—3 PM, at the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, 35 Greenfield Avenue in Ardmore, senior citizens are invited to participate in this program affiliated with Bryn Mawr Hospital's Community Health Services Department.

Advance registration is required. Call 1-866-CALL-MLH (or 1-866-2255-654) for more information.
