| ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES | Under the Adult Protective Services Law, adults age 60 and older who - because of mental or physical dysfunction, frailty, vulnerability, and difficulty caring for themselves - are at risk from abuse, neglect, exploitation or dangerous situations, may be reported in need of Protective Services.
When you call the Elder Abuse line you will be asked for detailed information. You may choose to share your name or to make an anonymous report. Often, a timely investigation is initiated to explore the situation, and, if needed, to intervene and to stabilize the situation.
